Presentation Description: Often crisis work is only thought of in a crisis. Getting involved in the community and being a part of the community more than just sitting in on meetings and being present; it is engaging in community events. Crisis work is also working community providers to create new programs, new policies, and bridge gaps. There are multiple councils and boards that being a part of brings awareness to the programs available, new collaborations can help the different populations served.
