At NatCon23, people came in droves to the Getting Rid of Stupid Stuff (GROSS) presentation. And this year, this session is all about fixing meetings through meeting science. We spend over half our workweek in meetings, most extraordinarily unproductive. Schedules are overbooked and feelings of being overwhelmed are everywhere. It may seem like a rock too heavy to lift but meeting science and tools can mean an epic return on investment! This presentation will make the case for creating a new meeting culture and provide templates and supports to bring back learning and “doing something” at your organization.
Learning Objectives:
Set a meeting agenda using meeting science and the principles of stewardship and facilitation, setting effective meeting duration and inviting the right participants.
Identify three key skills for meeting facilitation.
Use tools for evaluating your current meeting effectiveness.
