Jamie Hagenbuch is the Program Manager; Mental Health First Aid for Madison County Rural Health Council (MCRHC). She obtained her bachelors in Healthcare Administration in 2010. With a passion for making a positive impact in individual’s lives, improving access to services and building a resilient community.
Jamie brings over 10 years of experience in the health and human services field. Jamie strives to develop and implement new and improved services. Being active in her community and in the lives of community members is something that drives her to work alongside community partners to improve, develop and implement new strategies, services and education. Improving the overall health of our community is what inspires Jamie to improve her knowledge and education to be able to bring back to our community. She has implemented the following programs within her community; Tobacco Education for youth, Master Trainer for Chronic Disease Self-Management, Diabetes Self-Management and Whole Health Action Management Instructor.
Her real passion came though after attending a Youth Mental Health First Aid training in 2017 with a colleague that experience changed the course of her work and passion. Jamie became a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor and Coordinator accredited by National Council for Mental Wellbeing in 2018. There are multiple curriculums she is trained to facilitate Adult, Fire/EMS, Public Safety, Rural Communities, teen and Youth. Since 2018 she has trained and impacted over 4,000 lives including over 2,000 teens in over 16 school districts. Jamie was recognized by The National Council for Mental Wellbeing as a Top Instructor of 2022 for the work she has done throughout New York State and beyond.
It takes one person to save a life and that’s Jamie’s mission to advocate, educate and inspire others. Jamie is a mom of 3 and being a mental health advocate is a passion. Seeing the struggles youth and adults are facing after COVID-19 is the reason she pursues the work she does. Empowering minds and changing communities one person at a time.
