Behavioral Health Nursing Coordinator
Access: Supports for Living
Middletown, New York
Hailing from the Hudson Valley, NY, Samantha is a Registered Nurse currently working for Access: Supports for Living as the Behavioral Health Nursing Coordinator. Samantha began her nursing career in 2011 in Sub-Acute Rehabilitation and Long Term Care, working to earn her Board Certification in Gerontological Nursing. Previous job positions held include Nurse Manager and Director of Adult Day Health Care, where she enjoyed her time serving adults of all ages in the Medical Model and Social Model day programs. Although she developed a love for working with the aging population and those at end of life, her passion for helping individuals struggling with their mental health spurred her to change fields, landing initially with ASFL as the RN for the Behavioral Health and Substance Use Urgent Care. A proud mother of four children including two on the Autism Spectrum, Samantha is also a strong advocate for adolescents with Behavioral Health diagnoses and helping to decrease the stigma around obtaining mental health services.
