Joan Kenerson King has been involved in health care for 40 years and has been a senior integration consultant with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing since 2012. In her current role, she provides consultation to state, regional and local communities and foundations in the development of systems of care and communities that focus on wellness-oriented, trauma-informed services and supports.
Her key areas of passion and interest are rural and frontier services, wellness and resilience, peer support services and training that supports the development of a healthy workforce.
