Preston Looper, MS, LPC-S, Principal of Full Tilt Strategies LLC, is one of the nation’s leading experts in mobile crisis team (MCT) operations, policy, technology and analytics, training, and adoption-implementation of evidence-based practices. Much of his 35 years in the behavioral health field have been immersed in behavioral health crisis care in collaboration with the public sector safety net.
As a clinician for over 20 years, he provided behavioral health crisis care in Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado across diverse geographies, populations, and operations.
From 2008-2020, Mr. Looper served as the Executive Director for Adapt Community Solutions (ACS) in the Dallas area. ACS was accredited by the American Association of Suicidology (AAS) and provided high tech integrated crisis hotline and mobile crisis team operation serving Dallas and six surrounding counties (5500 square miles; population of 4 million; highly diverse; encompassing urban, suburban, rural, and frontier areas). Mr. Looper received special recognition from AAS for his efforts involving training, program evaluation, and continuous quality improvement. ACS’ service metrics include the following:
From 2010-2020, Mr. Looper served as the Chief of Clinical Innovation for Harris Logic. His work led to the creation of specialty crisis care platforms: Electronic Health Record, Information Exchange & Coordination of Care, and analytics. His team was recognized with SAP Innovation awards for its work in data integration, prediction, and anonymization. In this context, he met with and conducted site visits with numerous mobile crisis and co-responder providers across the nation. Special projects conducted during this time include the following:
In 2020, Mr. Looper formed Full Tilt Strategies LLC. He developed a customizable and scalable mobile crisis/crisis care consultation and training platform. His projects under Full Tilt Strategies have included consultation and training for mobile crisis providers, crisis hotlines, fire departments, police and co-responder services, and research.
