Community Outreach and Training Coordinator
Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska
BELLEVUE, Nebraska
I am a certified trainer for Mental Health First Aid (Adult, Youth, Higher Education, Public Safety, and Veterans and Military Family Members). I facilitate trainings throughout the state of Nebraska and hope to raise awareness about mental health, help eliminate the stigma associated with mental health and substance use challenges, and love working with people to help them learn.
I am just starting out on a new career endeavor! Working with college students in student affairs and academics helped me realize that I am a counselor at heart. I was counseling students every day, I just wasn't sure if I was doing it to the best of my ability. After over 20 years of working in higher education, I decided it was time to add more tools to my tool belt! I went back to school (lifelong learner) to earn my master’s in clinical counseling. I wanted to know why I was doing what I was doing, and of course how to do it better!
