Madeline Lane is a second-year medical student at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. She earned her B.S. in Human Development & Psychological Services at Northwestern University. Her prior research focuses on identifying survivors of torture, human trafficking, and other forms violence in the emergency department. Currently, she leads the gun violence prevention group at ZSOM, and she serves as the chair of the Geriatrics and Emergency Medicine interest groups. She remains committed to advocating for historically vulnerable and stigmatized populations, including individuals with substance use disorder.
