Steve Miller is a graduate of Wichita State University, is currently the Project Director of the Mid-America Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC) and has worked in both substance misuse treatment and prevention. As a Prevention Specialist he has led a Partnership for Success grant; been a champion of community awareness for Drug Endangered Children; the Search Institutes 40 Developmental Assets; and is a certified trainer of Adult, Youth and Teen Mental Health First Aid, and has presented on a wide range of prevention topics, including media literacy and how music influences choice. Prior to his work in the prevention field, he was a radio DJ and worked for a PBS affiliate as a professional fundraiser. In his spare time, Mr. Miller is active in the community improvement and revitalization of his neighborhood and the development of the Moon City Creative Live-Work-District.
