Meredith Surdel LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience working with children, adults, and families. Early in her career, Meredith developed the Site-Based Mentoring program for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Erie County in 2004. This entailed accessing the school system to link adult volunteers with children in need of mentoring. In 2006, Meredith moved to Burlington Vermont where she was a Children’s Crisis Clinician at Howard Center providing crisis intervention, assessment, and referral to children and families in crisis. It was through Howard Center that she developed and led a Safety Net Program for children and families impacted by incarceration working closely with the legal system. Meredith became a Clinician in Rochester Regional Health System’s PROS program in 2010 and ultimately was promoted to the position of Clinical Supervisor. In 2016, she was offered a job as a Recruiter for Behavioral Health Staff in the same organization. Returning to her hometown of Buffalo in 2017, Meredith was hired as Program Manager at HOPE Treatment & Counseling Center for Endeavor Health Services. This innovative program is an integrated treatment program partnered with Inspired Health Group where clients receive a range of treatment for both their co-occurring behavioral health and medical issues. Currently, Meredith is an Associate Director of Clinical Services for Endeavor where she is working within the CCBHC-expansion grant to build and foster partnerships with primary care offices. She is also developing programs and presentations focused on leadership development with internal staff.
