Jennifer Hilton serves as the Director of Training for the WestCare Foundation, Inc., a family of nonprofit behavioral health and human services organizations operating in more than 20 U.S. states and territories. In her role, Ms. Hilton coordinates knowledge development opportunities for WestCare’s workforce of 1,900+ personnel. Including all WestCare’s seminars, workshops, webinars, and online eLearning courses. Her educational background is psychology and social service business administration. As a native of Las Vegas, she also services in a volunteer position as the chairperson for the Nevada Coalition for Suicide Prevention (NCSP) working in her community to help achieve NCSP’s Zero Suicide goal. She is also a part time instructor for College of Southern Nevada (CSN) and St. Pete College of Florida. Jennifer has been working to help increase mental health awareness in numerous sectors since 2014, including, but not limited to: social services, health care, law enforcement, criminal justice, and the public. She is a passionate teacher who advocates for special populations including U.S. military veterans, law enforcement officers, LGBTQ+ individuals and their families. Ms. Hilton is a certified GAINS Trauma Informed Trainer, safeTALK and ASIST Trainer; as well as a Crisis Prevention Intervention Instructor and is a triple Certified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Instructor. She is considered a Subject Matter Expert in the field of training. She presents at conferences across the country on Trauma, Trauma Informed Care, Mental Health Awareness, Mental Health First Aid, and Therapeutic Community Treatment model.
