Kimberly Meals, M.Ed., LPCC-S currently serves as the CCBHC Director & Compliance Officer at Community Support Services in Akron, Ohio. For more than 25 years, Kim has held several positions in the organization including Case Manager, Case Management Supervisor, and Treatment Services Manager. She demonstrates a unyielding commitment to providing high quality treatment and recovery services while promoting the well-being of staff. She has been instrumental in championing organizational transformation in response to the ongoing challenges in healthcare. She has led several organization initiatives, including Zero Suicide and Trauma Informed Care. A lifelong resident of Ohio, Kim graduated from Capital University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Spanish. She earned a Master’s in Education in Counseling from Kent State University. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with supervisory designation in the State of Ohio. Since 2008, Kim has been an Administrative and Program Surveyor for CARF. Kim has been active in suicide prevention in her community for 30 years. Currently, she serves as the Secretary for the Summit County Suicide Prevention Coalition. She also is an active participant in the Summit County Trauma Informed Care team. Kim also participated in the inaugural class of the Addressing Health Disparities Leadership Program offered by the National Council for Wellbeing. She has been recognized by Mental Health America – Summit County with an Outstanding Leadership Award.
