A former Division I college athlete, I have always enjoyed living in a healthy, active body. Furthermore, I have always felt a deep pull toward the exploration of well-being, and following it has led me on a never-ending inquiry of all things mindfulness, wellness, and human behavior. My first few years in the health and wellness field were spent personal training and nutrition coaching, and it was there that I started to notice a common trend – most of us know what we should be doing, we're just not doing it. I found this fascinating. Telling people what to do didn't work in helping them obtain the lasting, positive change they said they were after. I could relate to this, too, I didn't want someone else just "telling me what to do," nor did I want to spend my career simply giving people instructions, hoping the knowledge would be enough, but knowing it would not be. Therefore, I found myself back in school to obtain my Masters in Health Studies while focusing on the study of human behavior change.
Eventually, through my own knowledge and experience acquired in the field, I crafted my own subscription to well-being, implementing evidence-based practices rooted in behavior change theories and the science of positive psychology, and most importantly, my own personal experience. I now get to share this work with both individuals and organizations, helping them ignite their innate striving toward optimal well-being and, in doing so, achieve optimal results, personally and professionally.
I am on a mission to help people close the gap between their own knowing and doing, teaching them to tap into their own intrinsic motivation and create lasting, positive change.
