Dr. Carla Smith is the Chief Clinical Officer at Motivo Health, where she is dedicated to addressing the mental health provider shortage, particularly for historically underrepresented communities. As a respected licensed therapist with credentials as both an LCSW and LMFT, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the behavioral health care system.

A hallmark of Dr. Carla's approach to leadership and practice is her emphasis on cultural humility practices. She understands the importance of recognizing and respecting the unique experiences, beliefs, and values that each individual brings to the therapeutic and clinical supervision process. By implementing these practices, she aims to not only provide effective and culturally responsive care in her clinical practice but also to create a workplace culture at Motivo that fosters a sense of belonging among the clinical supervisors we partner with to serve pre-licensed clinicians and mental health organizations.
