Ms. Karen Ashline is Chief Executive Officer for the Adirondack Health Institute (AHI) and the Adirondacks ACO (Accountable Care Organization). AHI is an independent non-profit organization, working collaboratively with community partners (hospitals, physician practices, behavioral health partners, and community-based organizations) on innovative initiatives that advance quality, improve access and affordability, and transform health care delivery in the rural North Country region of New York State. The Adirondacks ACO supports contracting with the Medicare Shared Savings Program, Managed Medicaid, and commercial health plan value-based payment contracts in the same rural region of New York State.
This strong, collaborative partner network has a long history, with a focus on ensuring patients and their communities have available high quality healthcare services, with care at the right time - in the right setting and at the lowest possible cost.
Ms. Ashline has a Masters Degree in Administration and Leadership from SUNY Plattsburgh and is a native of rural Essex County, New York. She has a clear understanding of the rural demographics of the area and the challenges patients, families and their health care providers are faced with in the some of the most rural counties of northeastern New York State.
