Mikala Jungmeyer-Geiger is the Youth Services Manager at the Missouri Behavioral Health Council. Mikala was born and raised in Russellville, Missouri. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri. She is working on her Master’s in Family and Community Engagement at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Mikala chose the behavioral health field due to losing loved ones to suicide and substance use. She has years of experience providing direct care to youth, adults, and families. The Council allows Mikala to impact, challenge, and break down walls surrounding behavioral health. She loves working on multiple statewide initiatives and playing a small role in the Council’s mission. Mikala feels that working alongside her co-workers, DMH staff, and Community Behavioral Health providers is an honor. Mikala resides in Russellville, Missouri, with her husband Garrett, son Braxton, and dog Fancy. Outside work, she loves to play golf, spend time on the farm, and vacation on the beach with her family.
