Samuel Dorison is a national expert in artificial intelligence strategy and product deployment, with demonstrated expertise in mental health settings. He is the Cofounder and CEO at ReflexAI, a technology company that brings AI-powered tools to emergency dispatch, crisis response, and healthcare organizations.
ReflexAI’s tools improve quality and reduce cost in the critical functions of training and quality assurance. In 2023, ReflexAI was recognized as a winner of Mission Daybreak, the Department of Veterans Affairs suicide prevention competition, for tools to more rapidly and effectively train responders on the Veterans Crisis Line. With support from Google, the organization also deployed HomeTeam – a tool to equip veterans to support each other with mental health challenges. The organization is now providing transformative tools with additional leading organizations, including Lines for Life, and receiving coverage in national publications.
Before launching ReflexAI, Dorison served as Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at The Trevor Project, where his team’s work was recognized on TIME’s 100 Best Inventions of 2021. As the founding executive of The Trevor Project’s research team, he is also the co-author of five peer-reviewed papers on mental health. Dorison previously worked at McKinsey & Company in Washington, DC, and at Harvard Kennedy School's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. Dorison graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Princeton University. He also holds an LLM from Cambridge University and an MSc in Security Studies from University College London, both as a Marshall Scholar.
Beyond ReflexAI, Dorison is heavily involved in causes that support families impacted by cancer. He serves on the board of Kesem and is a long-time rider of the Pan-Mass Challenge. Dorison lives in New York City with his husband.
