Nadine is in her final semester of graduate school pursuing a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree with a mental health specialization from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois Chicago. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at The New School University. She is interested in entering the mental health treatment field as a clinician serving adolescents, young adults, and families from communities of color and immigrant populations. As a 2023-2024 Council of Social Work Education Minority Fellow, she is committed to addressing the mental health and substance use needs of racial and ethnic minority groups.
Nadine has clinical experiences providing counseling services and facilitating parenting and anger management classes. Nadine is currently interning with Northwestern Medicine Behavioral Health Services in a partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient setting serving adolescents. Her clinical role includes assessment, treatment planning, psychoeducation, and individual, group, and family counseling. Nadine is also an intern at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. She supports the Practice Improvement and Consulting department in the leadership and workforce development portfolio. Her work at the National Council is focused on supporting workforce solutions to recruit, retain, and diversify the field, including the Center for Workforce Solutions and the Apprenticeship Capacity Building project. She also contributed to the “Pandemic Era Telehealth Innovations in the Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment Fields: Practice-informed Findings and Recommendations” report that was released in May 2023.
