Jessica Okoniewski, LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and esteemed resilience and wellbeing specialist. With over ten years of experience in community mental healthcare, Jessica has dedicated her career to helping individuals build personal resilience and achieve optimal mental wellness.
As the Resilience and Resource Officer for Niagara University's College of Nursing, Jessica has focused her efforts on developing proactive strategies that equip nursing students and novice nurses with the necessary tools to manage the challenges they face working in healthcare. Additionally, Jessica is a therapist for a private group practice in Buffalo, New York where she provides therapy to individuals with obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, and trauma.
Jessica has a master's degree in counseling and specializes in evidence-based therapeutic modalities that promote resilience including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Jessica is working towards becoming certified in the use of Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).
