Cheryl Phillips wants to make a difference in the world, especially children. She has been a teacher in the Palm Beach County School District since 1989, creatively teaching Science and Health to her students. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in Biology and Earth Science Applied to Teaching. She also received certification in Health Education and earned her Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education. She currently works as the Youth Mental Health First Aid Coordinator and Resource Teacher in the department of Behavioral and Mental Health in the school district. Cheryl cares about the students and district employees, making learning fun and exciting. She teaches Youth Mental Health First Aid ensuring district employees know the impact goes beyond the school itself, they carry that knowledge into the community to assist others who may be experiencing a mental health challenge. Cheryl is dedicated to helping Palm Beach County schools be safe and supportive spaces where any individual who may be struggling can get the help they need in order to be successful and live their life to the fullest. She believes we are making a difference today, tomorrow and for years to come.
