David A. Shore is a leading authority on innovation and managing change initiatives. Throughout his career he has worked to combine research, teaching, consulting and writing to build constructive links between theory and practice.
Shore is a former Associate Dean of Harvard University, where he continues to teach and lead executive education seminars. He is the former Distinguished Professor of Innovation and Change at Tianjin University of Finance and Economics (China) and is Adjunct Professor of Organizational Development and Change at the School of Business, University of Monterrey (Mexico). He has consulted on six continents.
He has served on and chaired numerous boards and committees, and is a founding member of McKinsey & Company’s External Implementation Advisory Board which has a primary focus on operationalizing strategy for transformational change. Shore served as an expert advisor to the George W. Bush Presidential Center on their Effective Implementation Framework. During 2021-22 he served as Senior Consultant on Innovation at the United Nations.
