Since July 2021, we have trained over 17,000 individuals and over 120 Instructors, and we have worked with over 200 unique hosts. We have learned some lessons along the way — some the tough way, some through experimenting, and all through continuously being willing to look at our processes and go back to the drawing board if needed. We have developed standard operating procedures, forms, tools to increase communication and more. This presentation will share some of these lessons with the goal of working together to make Mental Health First Aid easily accessible to different communities and increasing the number of people trained.

Learning Objectives:

Increase the reach of each person involved, exploring target populations, and to share tools to create strong partnerships.
Understand how to establish a strong network that includes engaged Instructors, flexibility to accommodate schedules and good communication. Examples will be provided on creating cohesiveness between Instructors and Coordinators, creating a strong pool of Instructors.
Gain tools that allow for sharing your message with your community and funders and keep Mental Health First Aiders engaged and involved, sharing information, good news and opportunities for training.
