Since receiving funding in March 2020, the MHFA Collaborative has contracted with approximately 140 Instructors. Ensuring high-quality delivery of trainings and sustainability of Instructors has been a priority of the program. This forum will highlight how the program’s implemented to empower Instructors for long-term success, including a mentorship program and the role of an Instructor Support Specialist. Guiding the project is an Instructor career path, which begins with a newly certified Instructor moving to co-Instructor, to lead Instructor, to mentor Instructor, to the goal of being named Instructor of the Year at the MHFA Summit.

Learning Objectives:

Identify the role of an Instructor Support Specialist in engaging and developing effective MHFA Instructors.
Explore the components of a Mentorship Instructor Program as a method to enhance Instructor delivery, long-term MHFA program success and sustainability.
Discuss effective strategies to engage several MHFA Instructors across a statewide project.
