With the expansion of first responder models across the country, the call remains the same regardless of the response it elicits. This session will discuss the need for integration of equity in care for first responders in a quint-crisis response (traditional first response, secondary, post-event, 911 call diversion, and non-police response) system. It will highlight the importance of fostering a culture of equity in care and identify strategies for making intentional mental health wellness the norm.
Learning Objectives:

Participants will formulate ideas on how stigmas in the workplace inhibit staff from receiving mental healthcare and understand its influences on the whole person.
Identify ways to destigmatize the need for mental health care by fostering a culture of care through wellness planning.
