Texas Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) poster presentation highlights innovative components of the CSC treatment model. This presentation provides a description of the multi-disciplinary treatment team and positive impact of including individuals with lived experience in the treatment process.
This presentation consists of CSC success stories reflecting the treatment model goal to empower the person’s ability to lead a self-directed life within the community. CSC program components such as evidence-based training, technical assistance, and creative ways to reintegrate individuals in the community are explored here. This presentation includes strategies employed to manage unique regional challenges and foster trust and connection.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will identify the essential elements of the Coordinated Specialty Care model for FEP, with a focus on how Texas incorporates Peer Specialists and Certified Family Partners into treatment.
Participants will acquire insight into the significance of including individuals with lived experience in the treatment process and how their involvement improves the treatment outcomes and reduces stigma.
Participants will explore challenges and opportunities during the rapid implementation of CSC in Texas and explore the transformative journey through success stories.
