Mental Health Intervention Manager Orlando Police Dept Orlando, Florida
In 2021, the City of Orlando and Aspire Health Partners partnered to create the Community Response Team that involves having mental health professionals respond to mental health-related 911 calls without law enforcement presence. The goal was to provide a mental health professional response for these type of crises, improving deescalation and connection to care and saving law enforcement time. This poster will discuss start up, data collection, diversion outcomes, and lessons learned.
