Health Promotion Manager Bergen's Promise Hackensack, New Jersey
Addressing staff shortages in the field of mental health has been a herculean task for many non-profit agencies. This poster will describe strategies a county-wide non-profit care management organization, Bergen’s Promise, took to successfully overcome this challenge. By reimagining the scaffolding of its organizational culture of wellness and emulating the “Essentials for Workplace Mental Health & Well-Being” as outlined by the United States Surgeon General, Bergen’s Promise achieved full staffing from a vacancy rate of 41% and increased annual retention from 40% to 58.5% over the past year.
