Suicide, overdose, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are urgent, interconnected challenges that share risk and protective factors. The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and Education Development Center (EDC) partnered for the Strengthening Capacity in Suicide, Overdose, and ACEs Prevention for Local Health Departments project to help enhance LHDs’ capacity at this intersection. LHDs collaborated with community partners to create a strategic plan addressing these areas of prevention. This poster will highlight the benefits of addressing the intersection of suicide, overdose, and ACEs, lessons learned, and guidance for community leaders interested in prevention efforts at this intersection.
