Treatment Director Embark Behavioral Health Chandler, Arizona
There is limited guidance on how to cultivate data-driven culture within behavioral health settings. Using descriptive research and a data-culture survey, we explored the relationship between data culture and survey (outcomes) completion rates. We define data culture as a set of values, knowledge, and beliefs that guide an organization’s ability to make data informed decisions and improve patient outcomes. Data Culture Scores and the Data Discussion subscale positively correlated with patient survey completion rates. We recommend fostering data culture through training and workshops led by leadership to improve data literacy, increase team communication in treatment planning, and support outcomes management.
