E5 - Youth Behavioral Health Liaisons: Connecting Youth to Behavioral Health Services

The Youth Behavioral Health Liaison (YBHL) initiative formally began in July 2022, using mental health professionals in Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHC) to form community partnerships with various youth-serving organizations and address the behavioral health needs of Missouri’s vulnerable children and youth. A goal of establishing YBHLs is to form better community partnerships between CCBHCs and other behavioral health treatment providers, developmental disability providers, juvenile justice and family courts, child welfare, schools, and hospitals to improve outcomes for youth with behavioral health issues.

  • Analyze data from the first year of the Youth Behavioral Health Liaison initiative.
  • Identify community partnerships, at the state and local levels, improved by Youth Behavioral Health Liaisons.
