Nationally, health systems are pressed to find ways to help address burgeoning needs for behavioral health care services – 109 million more Americans have enhanced needs for behavioral health care services post-pandemic. Health systems recognize they need to partner with community agencies. Speakers will share how to successfully integrate acute care hospitals and CMHCs. They will discuss the challenges and solutions of cultural alignment, achievable improvements, and benefits of integration. Speakers will draw on profiled studies of integration best practices and offer practical insights and tools on how to build stronger network of behavioral health care services in the community.

Learning Objectives:

  • Session participants will be able to identify at least two or three successful partnerships between hospitals/health systems and CMHCs or CCBHCs
  • Participants will be able to discover at least two of the benefits of integrating behavioral health care across hospitals/health systems and CMHC/CCBHCs.
  • Participants will be exposed to the strategic pillars forming the business case for integrating behavioral health care across hospitals/health systems and CMHC/CCBHCs.
