This workshop will dig deep into the heart of the mental health workforce crisis, shed light on its root causes and, more importantly, equip attendees with tangible strategies to address it. An opportunity for gaining a comprehensive understanding of the therapist shortage crisis from multiple angles this presentation will provide community mental health organizations, mental health professionals, policymakers and educators with insights and actionable steps for making a difference in addressing this critical issue.

  • By the end of the presentation, participants will be able to cite at least three key demographic trends contributing to the therapist shortage crisis,
  • Identify two specific policy or funding challenges in the mental health workforce.
