This presentation will explore a resource that was created for community mental health and behavioral health organizations as well as lessons learned from a six-month learning collaborative in partnership with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing and the School-Based Health Alliance. This presentation will provide an overview of the six key considerations identified in the resource guide by discussing what they are and how they were implemented in a learning collaborative. This presentation will also explore examples of common challenges faced by community-based organizations and solutions as well as the role of school-based health centers and community behavioral health organizations.

Participants will be able to list at least strategies that will contribute to creating a successful partnership through integrated care between schools and mental health agencies.
Participants will describe how school-based health centers and community-based mental health agencies can provide comprehensive, quality and integrated services for students in schools.
Participants will be able to demonstrate their ability to apply the information they learned by creating an action plan to take back with them to their own schools and communities.
