There are over 7 million people with intellectual disabilities (IDDs) in the United States. Individuals with IDD are at high risk of co-occurring mental health conditions. However, navigating mental health and IDD systems can be difficult and burdensome for individuals simply trying to access quality care. This presentation will cover systemic hurdles to integrating services for persons with behavioral health/IDD and what Missouri is doing to break these barriers and deliver services when and how they are needed.
